  1. Notes on installing and configuring MultiMail:

  3. HOW TO SET UP YOUR MODEM
  4.  
  5. (1)  Select the Network option under the Preferences application on your Palm Pilot.  Enter the username, phone number, and optionally your password for the account from which you are receiving your email.  Typically, this will be the phone number for your internet service provider.

  7. (2)  On the Details screen of the Network option under the Preferences application, enter all the information for your account.

  9. (3)  From the details screen, select the Script button.  For a typical PPP connection, the acript would look something like this:

  11. Wait for:  login
  12. Send:      <username>
  13. Send CR:
  14. Wait for: assword
  15. Send:      <password>
  16. Send CR:
  17. End:

  19. where <username> is the username for your account and <password> is the password to your account.

  22. HOW TO CONFIGURE MULTIMAIL:

  24. (1) After installing MultiMail, click on the MultiMail icon.  Select the Menu button.  Select Options, then Mail Server.  Enter the appropriate information for your mail server.  Select OK.

  26. (2) Select SMTP from the Options menu.  Enter "return address" information that you would like to be included in your outgoing mail messages.  Select OK.

  28. (3) Depending on which type of Mail Server you are using, select either the IMAP4 or POP3 option from the Options menu.  Complete the requested configuration information and select OK.

  30. Now that you have completed the above three steps, you are ready to send and receive email!
